Summer Splash Sponsor: Baby Banz {Review}

With summer quickly approaching, it is time to start thinking about sun protection for your little ones. Our kiddo loves the water and enjoys going swimming, or just being outside in general, so I was happy to review the Bucket Hat & Banz Sunglasses Combo Set from Baby Banz.

Baby Banz Review
The two piece set is perfect to help keep the harmful rays off your child’s head and face. The sun hat is reversible and comes in a variety of colors. We chose the Blue and Brown Sea Turtle because it would go well with his swimming trunks and shirt. Since it’s not warm enough to swim yet, the kiddo has still been getting some use out of his hat when he goes outside to play or to the park with Daddy. It has a UPF rating of 50, which is really good in preventing sunburn.

The hat is available in two sizing options: 0-2 years and 2-5 years. There is a velcro closure on the back that allows you to adjust the size as needed. The 0-2 year old size fits the kiddo perfectly, and he is 19 months old. I can see him wearing it past his 2nd birthday, unless his head decides to hit a growth spurt. ;)

The Baby Banz fit around the back of the child’s head so that they aren’t so easy to take off. My son loves to put on and take off regular sunglasses, but these tend to stay in place. That’s really important when he is outside in the bright sunlight.

The strap and shades are blue to match his hat. There is a velcro section on the side of the strap so that they can be adjust to fit as your child grows.

Here is my kiddo, modeling the hat and sunglasses. He didn’t really care for the photo shoot, hence the weird face. I am pretty sure the photo was taken mid-whine :P The day we received the package in the mail, he was wearing an outfit that matched the hat and Banz perfectly.

BUY IT: You can purchase the Baby Banz Bucket Hat and Banz Sunglasses combo set on their website, usa.babybanz.com.

TOO CUTE! I have to check these out.. my son is BIG into hats — and he actually has 6 SETS of sunglasses. He has them everywhere (car, bedroom, BATHROOM?). My son is to sunglasses as most toddlers are to blankies or teddy bears! :)

What a cute model for these products. It’s nice when sunglasses don’t have stems so they don’t poke themselves in the eye.

This is really great. I think I may have to go get this. My daughter’s best friend just had a baby boy and this would be perfect for him. Thanks so much for sharing.

I love Baby Banz and my kids do too. My daughter are pretty small for their age so the glasses didn’t fit them good until they were a little older. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you at True Aim.

  6. Janet W. says

I love the protection the hat provides. It has a nice wide sides all the way around!

  7. LaTanya says

I like that the hat is not easy to take off because my son would never keep the hat on for long.

  8. Kristen says

I have been looking for sunglasses for my little kids that are not easy to take off or break. They’re frequently complaining about the sun in their eyes, but we have not found a pair for them to wear yet. We need something sturdy.

This is my 2nd comment. I just love the fact that the sunscreen is built right in the hat. Those sunglasses are so cute. Thanks again for sharing.

I have found that if you start them young wearing sunglasses they get used to it. Great review and I love the hat.

this would be great for the beach. my daughter left her sunglasses in a shopping cart and is devastated about not having any. she would love these.

  13. Karen Joyce says

So cool that the velcro attaches in the back so it’s not easy for the little fingers to pull off! These would be perfect for taking our son to the beach this summer!

  14. Lori B says

My son has really started to be annoyed by the sun! He’s 15 months old and it’s clear I need to get sunglasses for him. I love the Baby Banz because he also would pop regular (non-banded) sunglasses off his head SO fast!

  15. Jan Messali says

Living near the coast we visit the beach often. I need to get these for my grandson. Thanks for the review.

  16. sarah davis says

i’ve gotta get these! my son is super sensitive to the sun just like my hubby!

Your son is adorable!!! I love how the sunglasses aren’t easy to take off. We have several pairs bought at places like walmart/target and CVS that the kids wear for maybe a minute then they rip off. I’m in AZ where the sun is always intense and the rays are dangerous so I’m always looking for ways to protect my kids. and I have five! So I thank you for letting me know about this product! :)

  18. Erin Rok says

The Hat and glasses are adorable. The hat looks like it’s made very well with thick material so it doesn’t rip or fall apart if you need to throw it in the washing machine. I’ll definitely need to check out their products! Thanks for sharing.

I would love sunglasses with straps that might actually stay on my toddler! I also like that the hat has the UV protection so it is more than just a hat.

  23. Heather Carter says

These are so adorable. I am a huge hat fan and I have never found a pair of sunglasses that didn’t look just too cute for words on little ones.

  24. Seyma Shabbir says

I like this idea especially with a strap. We bought sunglasses and hats for my sons in the past and they always fell off.

  25. Heather R says
