Exciting Announcement from our Family!

Baby #2 Announcement

Last week, I posted this photo on Facebook, letting Sawyer make a very special announcement to our family and friends! That's right, Baby#2 is on the way and will be here around December 26, 2013! Though the kiddo doesn't look too happy in the photo above, he's very excited about a new baby "coming to live with us" - so long as it's a boy! He's been telling us all about the fun things he's … [Read more...]

What I Miss About Pregnancy…

Pregnancy

In the past, I have blogged about how we were happy with our family of 3. James and I had agreed that one child was enough for both of us. That was about 9 months ago - and I think things are changing. My mind maybe changing, anyways. Now that the kiddo is 2 years old and is becoming more and more independent by the day, there are things that I miss. Though I never thought I'd say it, I even … [Read more...]

Tomorrow, November 17, is Preemie Awareness Day. In an effort to save more babies, this day recognizes the problems that many infants face when they are born premature. Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Awareness Month: My Story

In 1988, October was designated as Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Awareness Month in the USA. October 15th is recognized as the official day of awareness. Though I have personally experience the loss of a pregnancy, I unaware of the awareness until last week. Here is my story: James and I had been trying to have a child practically since the day we got married in October 2007. We were actively … [Read more...]

The End is Near…

I had what is now my last pre-natal doctor's appointment yesterday. The doctor confirmed that there was still no progress being made, so he decided to schedule me for an induction. If Sawyer does not come on his own, I will be induced at 6am Monday morning. I am now getting incredibly nervous since I know the time frame I have left. I really wanted to go completely natural with this birth, but it … [Read more...]

Smuggling a Watermelon a.k.a. Maternity Photos

Last week my mom took some maternity pictures for us. I was not excited about having these done, so I didn't care to pay for a photographer to take them for me. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY excited about being pregnant and having a baby, but looking at my ever growing stomach makes me want to hurry up and get rid of it. My mom insisted on maternity pics though, so I agreed. The rest are in the … [Read more...]

Perfectly Content

I have decided that my little monkey is perfectly content on staying in my womb. He has made no indications of wanting to come out. I think he enjoys kneeing and "butting" my ribs. I keep telling him that he would just make his appearance to the world, he would have a TON of room to move around! He doesn't listen though, which makes me think he's going to be stubborn like his mama! My … [Read more...]
