Cook’n Recipe Organizer Review

If you are anything like me, then you probably have recipes scattered throughout your computer and house. I have some saved in my bookmarks and others that I have copied into Microsoft Word and saved in a file on my computer.

My kitchen’s junk drawer is filled with even more recipes from food packaging, and I own about 4 cookbooks. Finding a recipe I want to use again can be confusing! However, organization is made much easier with the Cook’n Recipe Organizer Version 10.

This software does a number of different things when it comes to recipe storage and meal planning. You can conveniently locate and use a recipe every night without having to dig through files or stacks of paper. You can choose to save recipes straight from the Internet or enter your own, if you have a personal favorite. I have many written on index cards from family members, and I plan to add all of them to my Cook’n Recipe Organizer software.

My favorite functions of the program are the ability to create shopping lists and meal plans. I love being able to map out the week, especially when I can go ahead and include quick meals for busy nights. Plus, it helps James and I both stay under our calories every day when we plan our meals in advance. The shopping list feature is also helpful, as it cuts down on all the last minute trips to the grocery store for that one ingredient you forgot.

Another feature I like (it’s hard to pick just one or two favorites!) is the ability to sync the program with your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. If you don’t have the time to create a shopping list, having the recipe on your phone makes shopping easier. Plus, you can have the recipe in the kitchen while you are cooking. And no need to waste paper with printing!

Here is a video that tells you a number of other features that Cook’n Recipe Organizer offers.

I’ve always intended to gather up all of the recipes I’ve bookmarked and faved and pinned and saved and type them up in uniform format to print off or make into an easy to reference book. I’d love to have a program like this to do it all for me!
