Today I present you with the third and final “Summer of Chocolate” dessert from McDonalds: The Chocolate Chip Frappe.
A blended ice treat made with a combination of rich mocha, sweet caramel, a hint of coffee, blended with real chocolate chips, then topped with a swirl of whipped cream and double drizzled with chocolate and caramel.
My son hasn’t been feeling well this week and I couldn’t get him to try anything new. I don’t care for the taste of coffee, so I turned to the biggest frappe fan I knew: My sister. This girl is buying McDonald’s caramel frappes at least once a week, so I knew she’d love to try the new chocolate chip frappe.
This was her first time trying the chocolate one, and she was pleasantly surprised. The whole chocolate chips took some getting used to, but she thought they added to the drink. The chips made it more chocolate-y for sure. She loved the whipped cream topping, especially with the added drizzles of chocolate and caramel.

If you are in the mood to cool down your hot Summer day with a Chocolate Chip Frappe, I suggest you get to McDonald’s ASAP! The frappe is available as part of “Summer of Chocolate” but only for a limited time!

Sounds delicious but with so many calories, I would have to be self-disciplined. That’s not easy when it comes to chocolate.
I don’t like the taste of coffee either but I love McDonald’s frappes! I haven’t tried the Chocolate Chip one yet but got a coupon in the mail for it. Good to read on your post that it is so good! I will have to go try it for myself. Thanks for the info!
