I was thinking of a good blog topic for today when I realized that I rarely talk about music on here. It’s not because music isn’t a part of my life. I have over 400 songs on my computer and always listen to the radio when driving alone. On top of that, I have a Blackberry Curve and iPod Touch which both have hundreds of songs on them. It’s weird that I just never think to talk about music on my blog.

Anyway, James has SIRIUS satellite radio in his car, so I get to hear a lot of bands that do not play on the local radio stations. Because of this, I am really liking some artists that others here haven’t heard of. I also wish I made more use of Last.Fm in order to find even more new songs and artists.

Here are the songs and artists I currently cannot get enough of.

• “Airplanes” — B.o.B. featuring Hayley Williams — Reminds me of how simple things were back when I was a teenager. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful for all that I have now, but life was so easy back then. No bills or anything to worry about. Sometimes, if a wish was all it took to get me back before those days, I wouldn’t mind visiting them for a while.
• “Like We Used To” — A Rocket to the Moon. Love this song! It’s just the right mix of country and pop music (both I love), so it’s a really good song. I’m currently downloading more of their music, as apparently the band has been around since 2006.
• Mike Posner — Totally loving his voice…think Jack Johnson/Jason Mraz. Only heard one of his songs (“Cooler than Me”) so far, but really hoping he isn’t a one hit wonder.
• Train — Loving their current hit, “Hey Soul Sister” but everything I’ve ever heard from Train is good, especially “Ordinary” which is on one of the Spiderman movie soundtracks.
