Dear Sawyer,

Looks like I forgot to write a letter to you on your 2nd birthday! I did do a small post though, comparing your hospital portraits to a photo from your party. You’ve grown so much in just 2 years. I know it’s expected when you are this young, but sometimes it’s bittersweet to see how smart and active you are!

Your Sesame Street birthday was a lot of fun and you loved the cake and the games we played. You sunk your teeth right into the corner of the cake before we could even sing “Happy Birthday” to you! You fell in love with your Cozy Coupe that Nana bought you, and you love to go out and ride around in it every chance you get.

The week of your birthday was a very busy one. You had to visit the eye doctor again, and your left eye is still doing great. Now, you only have to visit him once a year just to ensure the eye lid isn’t affecting your vision. You also went for your 2 year check up on your birthday. You weighed 31 1/2 pounds and were 37 inches tall! After your appointment, we took you to make your first Build A Bear. You created a dark brown dog that we named Chocolate.

We also took you to see Sesame Street Live the day after your birthday. You loved seeing Elmo on stage.

This month you’ve started doing impersonations, particularly from characters on Curious George. It’s so funny to hear you change your voice in order to sound like them! We can’t help but laugh every time you do it! You still like to sing, and now you know parts of “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Old MacDonald”. As far as words, you know why too many for us to keep count and you seem to be learning 2-3 new ones each day!

The past week has been a difficult one around here. Great Gran went to Heaven, and while you are too young to even realize she is gone, all of us are quite sad. I think you were noticing that at the funeral home, as you seemed concerned when you saw me and Auntie Krista crying. You are too young to understand, but I plan to make sure you remember Great Gran!

Love you kiddo, and cannot wait until my next letter. We are taking you to a pumpkin farm tomorrow, and then Halloween is later this month. I should have lots of things to talk about!

Love,
Mommy

I took the fluff out of my daughter’s and washed her bear, and took it back to get it “restuffed” for free :) her’s was sooooo “loved’ , it needed to get washed, she had a white kitty! LOL
