I beat the days of summer by staying inside and reading a good book!
Mostly staying in the air conditioning! Luckily, I won an awesome Step 2 water “toy” so my daughter has been enjoying the heck out of it!
I stay in the a/c as much as possible!

I beat the dog days of summer by going swimming as often as possible.
It’s been too hot to do much here in the south. We’ve been spending the days inside watching movies and playing games with the kids… only going outside once the sun has set. Since we have kids with asthma, the extra hot days are not good for them. Our deck will see use again as soon as the heat breaks.

We have had a fairly mild summer in Oregon. We are playing in the swimming pool, going for walks, staying inside reading books, and picking berries. Thank you!

Here in this humid Louisiana heat, we all (adults and teenagers) take a long swim while the little ones run around in the sprinklers and eat ice cream and pops, but it’s no way you can beat this HEAT, but we try.
I stayed inside with the A/C on as much as I could.
I drink lots of water.

Basement activites keep us about 10 degrees cooler. But seriously, I hate winter, so summer is not a big issue with me. It’s SUPPOSED to be 80-90 degrees in the summer;)

This summer has been especially hot (MANY days in the 90s and 100s), so I stay indoors where it’s cool. And we keep our ceiling fans going so the air is constantly being circulated – this keeps our electric bill from skyrocketing too badly.
Staying in the AC, it is just too hot outside!
