I love receiving Willow Tree Figurines. I am not much of a collector for things that sit around the home, but there is just something about this brand that I like. They are so simple in design, but I love the elegance of them. I have a few different ones, including the pregnant lady and new mom ones. I recently received a Willow Tree Figurine to review from Coppin’s Gifts.

Coppin’s Gifts is a nice website that features gift ideas from a number of brands, including DaVinci Beads, Happy Nappers, and – you guessed it! – Willow Tree. It’s hard just to choose one item from their website – there were so many I liked!

For my review, I received the Willow Tree “Grandmother” figurine. This one will actually be a birthday present for my mom (hopefully she doesn’t read this before May 29th!). Coppin’s Gifts have many of the Willow Tree figurines to choose from, and this one fits my mom best. She became “Nana” when our son was born, so it’s only fitting she receive this figure.

I love the sophistication of the figurine. It features a lady holding her grandchild – we are going to assume it’s a grandson – up in her arms. The pose looks playful, and I can just imagine my mom doing that with the kiddo while he laughs at being held up. It also radiates a sense of joy that only grandchildren can bring to a woman’s life.

Cheerios is a favorite around our home. For breakfast, I often make Sawyer a trail mix with dried fruit, cranberries, and Cheerios. It may not be the best option but he likes it. Gift Ideas for Men: Shaving Products!

With Father’s Day quickly approaching, it is time to start thinking about gift ideas for men. In celebration of the holiday, I decided to tackle a manly topic on my blog: Shaving! Most men do it, but I don’t really know how to talk about it myself – so I’m going to let my husband do it.

James here. When it comes to shaving, I am pretty simple in my routine. I make it easy on myself by shaving in the shower. This prevents hair falling into – and around- the sink, something that my wife doesn’t really care for.

I use a shaving cream designed for sensitive skin, because my face is easily irritated by a razor. The shaving usually comes last in the shower, and I only do it every other day – which also helps prevent the irritation.

As far as my exact routine, I basically just lather up and go at it with the razor. Once I’m finished and out of the shower, I will splash a little aftershave on my cheeks and neck (yes, I am all about keeping myself from irritation!).

Kecia again. Shaving products are something that I have purchased my husband in the past for holidays. This is only his second Father’s day, so he hasn’t gotten a shaving kit for this day…yet.

Sleeping Baby Happy Parents {Review}

It’s always nice to have babies that sleep well at naptime and at night. Some parents get lucky and have children that always “sleep like a baby”, but others aren’t so fortunate. Thankfully, there are music CD’s like “Sleeping Baby Happy Parents”.

This CD came to life when parents of triplet babies couldn’t get their little ones to sleep. They tried several products and had no luck. However, one night when it was raining, the babies slept soundly. The soft patter of raindrops hitting their bedroom window seemed to lull them right into dreamland. Upon further research, the parents realized that the sounds of nature had been used for hundreds of years to get little babies to sleep.

We were able to review the CD, and I have to say it has worked for our kiddo. He likes to have music on when he is going to sleep. We have tried other types of music and they worked well, but he gets burned out on the same songs after a while. This one is fresh for him, and it has worked to calm him down when he was listening to something else and we switch to this CD.

Snack time is probably Sawyer’s favorite meal. We try to get foods for him that he can eat completely by himself. He still has a little trouble with a fork, so it’s good if he has finger foods or something like that. That’s why we were so excited to review the snack pouches from Ella’s Kitchen.

Ella’s kitchen was started by a mom who wanted to make healthy, easy to take on the go snacks for her daughter. They use a kid’s POV when creating recipes for their products so that little ones will enjoy them! They are still nutritious, which turns out to be a win-win!

The package featured an assortment of Ella’s Kitchen’s products, which I really liked. It’s nice to be able to try many of a company’s products when conducting a review. My son isn’t old enough to tell us his favorite, but I will say he gobbled all of them up!

Most of them were snacks, but he did have a couple at breakfast with this dried cereal (he doesn’t care for cereal in milk, but drinks milk with it. Silly kid ) The products range from 4-6 months, but at 19 months, the kiddo had no problem chugging away straight from the pack!
