My son hasn’t really cared for fruit in the past few months. When he first started eating solids, he loved applesauce, bananas, and a few others. Now, it’s difficult to even get him to take a bite and even more difficult to get him to swallow said bite. When Funky Monkey offered to let us review their freeze-dried fruits, I readily agreed hoping my son would like them!
One thing I liked about Funky Monkey from the get go was the variety of options. We received one pack of each of their 7 flavors. I like that my son has a several of these to choose from. He can sometimes get hooked on a certain food and ask for it all the time, but with these, he would at least be getting different fruits when he requested them.
The first pack we tore into, at the kiddo’s request, was the Bananamon, which as you can probably guess from the name, is bananas coated with cinnamon. These were really good! I managed to grab one while my son was busy devouring the whole pack. He immediately asked for another pack when he was done with this one. I was so happy to hear that, because he’s finally eating fruit!
Funky Monkeys freeze-dried fruit snacks are very helpful, not just in giving your kids choices. They are made from 100% real fruit and have no added sugars. Not only are the a delicious snack, but they are a healthy snack too!
Plus, they are great for those with peanut/tree nut allergies or gluten sensitivities, as they are free from all that. Funky Monkey is a perfect snack for vegans, because they are an all-natural raw food option.
Each bag of these snacks is a serving of fruit, as determined by the USDA. They are the perfect size for an afternoon snack for our kiddo, and I do not feel bad about giving him something sweet and crunchy to eat!

awesome! i’m always looking for new snacks for my kids!
thanks for the info…
I love the creativity with the names of the flavors. I want to try Purple Funk just to say I’ve eaten Purple Funk.
I love finding new easy snacks for my toddler! She has experienced freeze dried snacks, but only apples and bananas. I like the looks of these because they look portable and there’s a variety! We would have to skip the mango though – we both have a mango allergy. :-/
