Today, James and I have been married for five years – five LONG years. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but we have been through quite a bit in those five years. Including a miscarriage and a baby. It seems like we’ve been married a lot longer, though other days it seems like we just got married a year ago.
This is us, on our wedding day. One of the most wonderful days of my life (the other is the day I gave birth to our kiddo). It was such a beautiful day and everything went as planned. We poured unity sand together, and shared our first dance as newlyweds. Thinking about that day always brings a big smile to my face.
One thing that has not changed, no matter how much our lives have, in these five years is just how amazing my husband is. He isn’t perfect, and knows exactly how to push my buttons, but I seriously could not imagine a better husband and father! Taking care of the two of us is what he does best, and I love him like crazy for it.
The two of us should be on an anniversary trip in Savannah, Georgia right now, celebrating our five years of wedded bliss. However, our trip got cancelled due to an angry gallbladder that needs to come out sometime this month. We still plan to celebrate, but I knew I wouldn’t have as much fun as possible if I went away without being in 100% health.
Until then, we will use this post to celebrate!

Congrats and I know all about gallstones ,get them out as soon as you can. Hope the nerxt five years are even better for you ,you two are a happy looking couple. Much Joy and Happiness is being sent your way .When I lost my husband to kidney cancer we were married 58 yrs.
Happy Anniversary. Hope you feel better soon and enjoy your anniversary trip.
