Today is the day of love, so be sure to tell someone that you care! Even if you don’t give them a gift, just hearing it could make someone’s day.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, James and I celebrated the holiday over the weekend. Saturday afternoon, he took me out to Olive Garden. This is the restaurant where we had our first date almost six years ago. The wait was longer than the time it took for us to be seated, eat, and leave! Still, we had a wonderful time.
After dinner, we went to the theater to see “One for the Money”. I love Katherine Heigl, and she didn’t disappoint in this movie. It was funny and had a good ending!
This year, we decided not to exchange gifts. It’s really just another day to us, though we do try to get a little alone time in around Valentine’s, hence the date night. Maybe if we had more money than we knew what to do with (title loans Wisconsin, anyone?) then we would exchange gifts every V-Day.
We did get Sawyer a little something though, which he will open this afternoon when James gets home from work. We made him a gift bag with stacking cups, a Cars sippy cup, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD, and a lollipop!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all my readers!!
