When it comes to toddler snacks, moms want to choose foods that are delicious, nutritious, and easy. This is especially true if your little ones are picky eaters. My kiddo sometimes wants nothing to do with lunch or dinner, so snacks that are healthy are a must. And when we are on the go, I want something easy to serve with as little mess as possible.
Luckily, there are quite a few snacks that fall into every category that I look for…
- Bite-sized dried fruit. My kiddo especially loves dried bananas. Apples are great served this way too. They can be prepped for a busy day in seconds, stored in a snack container until it’s time to eat.
- Fruit leather. Think Fruit Roll-up but without all the unhealthy sugar and additives. It can be made at home and conveniently stored until it’s time for snack!
- Dried cereal. We always have a small box of cereal in Sawyer’s little backpack. It’s easy for him to eat and doesn’t usually make a mess. Even if he tips the container and spills a few, it only takes seconds to clean them up.
- Earth’s Best Yogurt Puffs. They pack the goodness of yogurt without the need for a spoon (and reduce chances of a mess)! The two flavors, Blueberry and Peach, may have you sneaking a few pieces from your child’s snack box…yes, they are that good. Plus they are healthy – Yogurt Puffs are specially fortified with six B vitamins, vitamins A & E, Iron, Zinc and Calcium to support healthy bone growth!
What healthy toddler snacks do you serve your little ones?
