Bullying is a terrible thing, something I hope my child never has to experience. With its presence becoming more widespread, however, I’m afraid it won’t be surprising to be bullied by the time he’s old enough for school.
There are ways that you can help fight bullying, steps like the ones 11 year old Jenelle is taking. She was bullied at her previous school, called names and teased until she didn’t want to go to school. She would beg her mom not to make her go.
Her mother had to step in and fight for the problem to be resolved. After going back and forth with teachers, the principal, and guidance counselor, Jenelle and was finally moved to a new school so she could have a fresh start.
How You Can Help Stop Bullying
Not letting her horrible experience get her down, Janelle took to crafting things to sell online. A portion of her profits go to anti-bullying organizations to help put an end to the nonsense. Jenelle’s Etsy shop, Slap Dash Things, will be opening tomorrow, February 1, stocked with earrings, necklaces, and other handmade items.
To celebrate the grand opening, Jenelle is offering 10% off your purchase if you use the code SOUTHERN at check out.
Tomorrow, I urge you to help take a stand against bullying by purchasing one of these unique pieces made by a young girl who was recently bullied herself.
Please share this post with anyone who may be interested in Jenelle’s items and/or helping to prevent bullying. You can also connect with Jenelle on Facebook.
