Holiday Dinner Organization with Brother P-touch Label Maker

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting #MC for Brother P-touch. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Now that I have had more time with my Brother P-touch label maker, I have to admit – it has made my life much easier. My 3 year old has wanted everything in his room to have his name on it! With the holidays upon us, I have been using it to get things organized. When it’s Christmas AND I’m planning for baby #2 at the same time, I have to stay organized or things will not get done – or I’ll go crazy!

Holiday Labeling with Brother P-touch Label Maker

I’ve been working on decluttering the section of our garage that holds all of our holiday decorations. I want this space to ONLY have our decor, and for it to be easily labeled so we can go out and grab what we need as each season/holiday rolls around. It’s still a work in progress, so I’ll be updating my January post with the finished product.

For our holiday dinners, it is easy for dishes to get mixed together. Sometimes lids don’t make it home with their correct pan or bowl, and once or twice, I’ve taken home the wrong plate! When everyone is in the kitchen after the meal wanting to help clean up, it’s easy for things to get confusing. Thanks to my Brother label maker, however, this is not a problem for me this year.

Labeling Made Easy with Brother

I volunteered to make a sweet potato casserole and Oreo Christmas Truffles for our extended family holiday dinner this past weekend. Before I put the foods into the dishes I planned to carry them in, I used the label maker to mark my plate and casserole dish with my name on it. This will make it easy to decide which dishes are mine when it is time to leave the dinner.

I also put the name of the foods on the dishes so there was no mistaking the yummy goodness inside!

Another way to use my label maker was for my younger cousin. She has horrible food allergies. For her to know they were okay to eat, I labeled the foods. At 12 years old, she is very cautious about what she puts on her plate at family dinners, because she doesn’t want to end up with a serious reaction. With the label, she knew that the food I brought is A-OK!
