My son has fallen in love with trains. He doesn’t like their loud whistle, but he enjoys watching Thomas and other train movies or TV shows. Because of this, I am happy to feature Lots and Lots of Toy Trains as a great gift idea for your kiddos!
When we received the 2 DVD set, I quickly popped the first movie in for my son to watch. Volume 1 definitely lives up to the set’s name. There are lots of toy trains featured – and I can see that we will need to start buying trains for our house soon! It’s amazing what some people have done when it comes to model trains. The movie was fascinating, even for me!
I held off on showing Volume 2 and let James watch that one with the kiddo. James said he really liked watching it too. The two were still talking about trains as the kiddo had his bath after the movie. I believe the DVDs may create a shared interest for my two guys. 
The DVD set comes with a bonus audio CD, featuring some of the songs from the movies. Guess what we’ve been listening to in the car?! Sometimes long car trips can be difficult with a 2 year old, but we’ve played the CD a few times and it takes his mind off the boring ride. He doesn’t know the songs yet, but he will begin talking about trains when he hears them.
In 2012, the Lots and Lots of Toy Trains 2 DVD Set was selected as one of the best children’s products by Dr. Toy. This is a very distinguished award and I can totally see why they received it!
