This is my first year participating in the Ultimate Blog Party hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom, and I am excited to a part of it! It’s a great chance to get to meet new bloggers (well, new to me anyways)!
First, a little about myself, family, and blog. I have been married for almost 5 years (October 13) to the wondeful man, James, you see below. Together, we have created the hyper little monkey you also see below. His name is Sawyer, and he’s about to turn 19 months old. I have been blogging on some site or another since 2005. I began with a free blog at LiveJournal and eventually moved to my own domain.
Southern Girl Ramblings was born in February 2009, when I decided to take my blogging more seriously. It wasn’t until September 2011 until I really got serious, however, and started to grow my following. On my blog, I like to ramble about parenting, the kiddo, and life in general. Other topics I enjoy writing about are WAHM tips, saving money, and weight loss. I also enjoy providing reviews and giveaways for my readers to enter.
When I am not blogging, I am usually completing content creation projects for clients or spending time with my family. We love taking the kiddo to the park as well as going on date nights, just the two of us (when we can get the time to go alone!).
I will be attending my first blogging conference in June when I travel to NC for Reviewer’s Retreat. I am SO excited and cannot wait! I also plan to attend Blissdom ’13 and BlogHer ’13 next year. Big plans for my blog!
Some of my favorite posts to date include:
Happy Being a Family of 3
Losing Weight on a Budget
I also write a post each Friday on WAHM Tips, if you are interested in that!
Feel free to have a look around, and let me know what you think of the place. I love getting feedback from my readers!
You can also connect with me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest!

Stopping by from the UBP! The Reviewer’s conference sounds wonderful. I am going to the Type A conference in North Carolina.
Thanks for visiting. I would love to go to Type A as well, but it’s only a couple weeks after Reviewer’s Retreat. I don’t think I can swing both. Maybe next year!
Thanks for visiting OneSmileyMonkey

Thanks for visiting! I have to admit, blogging has become even more fun now that I am more involved and actually have people reading my ramblings.
