As a huge list maker and note taker, I need to have a pen and paper handy wherever I go. Even though I always have my iPhone with me, which has a notepad app, I still like to be able to quickly jot down my ideas and important, ‘do not forget’ things. I recently received a mid-size journal from Peter Pauper Press to review, and it has became my new best friend when it comes to taking notes on the go.

Peter Pauper Press is a nice website featuring stationery, journals, tablet and e-reader covers, and more. It was really a hard decision as to what I wanted to review from their site – I liked so many things. I mean, check out these Kindle covers – aren’t they cool?

Even when I decided I wanted a journal, it was difficult to choose from all the colorful and neat designs.

I finally settled on this one though…

The Owls Journal has made note taking when not at home easy for me. The journal is large enough so that I can sit down and make a quick list or just get my feelings on paper. I’ve even been using it to record blogging ideas when I am out and about. I am horrible about thinking of something I want to blog about when at the store or park, yet it slips my mind before I make it back home. That’s not happening anymore!

The journal is 6″ x 8″, which is the perfect size for my purse. The binding allows the book to lie flat when you are writing, which usually isn’t the case unless you are using something that is spiral-bound. There is an orange, built-in book mark on the journal as well. This makes it so easy to find where you left off. You aren’t flipping through the book or skipping pages just to find a fresh one to write on.

It features 160 lined pages, so I will be able to use it for a while. I was excited to see lines on the pages…I have bought books like this in the past and didn’t think to check the paper inside, only to get home with no lines. My writing is horribly crooked when I don’t have lines!

I received this free product as a member of Karma Media, in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.
