This week was a busy one for our household. A few days, my son and I were away from home, helping move my younger brother into his college dorm. When I was home, it seems like I had 1,001 things to do! Because of our busy-ness, I only had one day free to do this week’s assignment for my Sears Grilling photography class.
With this being the sixth week in the course, it was time to bring the technical and creative skills we have been taught all together by throwing a get together using the grill as our food supply. I wanted to cook a better meal, but we settled for hot dogs for our party. My sister came over and ate with us – we were expecting a friend as well but she couldn’t make it.
I do feel like I have gotten better with my photography, thanks to this course. However, I feel like this week’s photographs could have been much better, maybe with a different meal, more planning, and more time to take the photos. Here are some of the best out of the 30 or so taken!
We are down to the wire in our course – I cannot believe it’s almost over!!

I had a hotdog cookout, too! Sometimes easiest is best.
Kecia, I think we all hit the wall of time constraints, this week. You did a great job!
The third photograph of the hot dog end is phenomenal! Looks awesome! I can’t believe the class is almost over either. It seems like we just started… Great job!
Good work! My favorite this week is Ready to Eat.
I think grilling is the only way to make hot dogs! They look great!!
The hot dogs look really yummy! Nice pictures!
Great details
There’s something so appealing about the shot of just the ends of the hotdogs. I really like it!
Those hot dogs look grilled to perfection!
