It had me thinking about my last accident…well, really it was more of a hit and run. It happened back in late 2007, just a few weeks before Christmas. James and I left a store and got into our separate vehicles (we had met there after he got off work). As we were on the interstate going home, he calls me and tells me there is something flapping on my car. We get off at the next exit so we can look at it. The area of the back of car between the bumper and my back tire is damaged, and it was causing it to flap in the wind when I was doing 75mph on the interstate. We came to the conclusion that someone had hit my car in the parking lot earlier and then drove off.

We drove the car home and called our insurance company. We had to take to the local body shop that does auto estimating. Three days of a rental car and a $500 deductible later, I got my car back in like new condition. I hate that whomever hit us had the nerve to drive away. I’m assuming they didn’t have insurance, or just didn’t want to take the blame for their stupidity…so instead, we got the foot the bill for it.
