A Day of Doctor’s Appointments

Today, Sawyer had two doctor’s appointments. The first one was bright and early at 8:45am. This wouldn’t have been that early, if the appointment hadn’t been a 50 minute drive. This appointment was for Sawyer to see a pediatric eye doctor for my drooping eyelid. He’s had the problem since birth. For the first two weeks of his life, the eye would not open at all. It’s doing a lot better now, but still doesn’t open as well as the other one. The doctor said that right now, both eyes are very healthy. He wants to monitor the progress of the eyelid as well as Sawyer’s vision development, so we have go back to see him in February.
After that doctor’s appointment, we had to rush back down to his pediatrician’s office. We were 10 minutes late, but I didn’t feel bad. The pediatrician’s receptionist is the person that scheduled his eye doctor appointment at 8:45am and his 2 month check up at 11am…on the same day. Today, Sawyer weighed 11 lbs, 5 oz and measured 23 1/2 inches long. This is a 1 lb, 15 oz and 3/4 inch increase since his one month check up on October 22. He is still in the 50th percentile for weight, and in the 75th percentile for height. He had to have his first round of vaccinations today as well, and he did so well. He only cried for about a minute, which was basically from the first stick until just a few seconds after the last one. Overall, my monkey is a very healthy little boy!!
