After my last post, I “created” (with the help of the WordPress Theme Generator, which is linked in the footer) a theme that I am mostly happy with. There are a few things that could use a little tweaking, but it’s good for now.

School is really starting to consume my life. With upcoming exams and papers, and field placements 2 days a week, this is really the only thing I have to talk about. My weekends have been spent mostly at home, alternating between homework, household chores, and playing the Wii with James. I knew it would be like this, but I was praying for something a little less stressful than the full plate I have right now. I’m already counting down the days until December 10th (last day of finals). Thankfully, the weeks go by fast when you are this busy, and I just finished the 5th week of the 15 week semester.

On top of all the joyful busyness I have going on, I believe I am coming down with a cold. There are a few people in my classes right now with the sniffles, and I think they have passed it to me. I woke up yesterday morning with that yucky dry, slightly painful feeling in my throat which generally leads to a more painful sore throat. I’ve also been sneezing my head off, it seems the contents of my head is draining out of my nose. I’m chugging OJ and going to get some cold meds later today in hopes of knocking out the illness before it comes on full force.

I’ve decided to sign up for NaBloPoMo in November, so I need to get back in the habit blogging daily. I also need to come up with a list of topics between now and then so that my daily posts will be interesting and not rehashed fluff.

Now that the hectic week is almost over, I can find the time to post! This blog has really been placed on the back burner for the past month, and with school over, I hope to change that. I am know y’all are probably tired of hearing it, but I am setting a goal to post at least 3 times a week…Starting next week. I really hate seeing the calendar in the sidebar with so little blue numbers on it each month.

On to the events of the hectic week! Here are the highlights…

• Saturday, we didn’t do the road race due to my ER visit that lasted from 2am-4:30am that morning. The result? Food poisoning from Steak N Shake. Needless to say, I will not be eating there for a while! Most of Saturday was spend being lazy since I got so little sleep from being at the hospital and in pain.

• Tuesday I went to pick up my cap and gown from the college. My battery in my car decided to die right after I pulled into a parking space, so I had to get Public Safety to come boost me off. The battery has been working fine since then, so hopefully it just had a random bad day and is not in need of a replacement. That night, we went to my friend April’s to babysit her 16 month old son, Braxton, while her and her husband went to a dinner and a movie for their anniversary.

• Thursday was spent with my aunt. We began the day by cleaning up the wedding site for my cousin and his fiance. This took much less time than we thought, so afterward we ran some errands and went to Wal-Mart to pick up the majority of the food for the wedding on Saturday. Our family is putting together the reception while Kim’s (the bride) family does the ceremony. I think that’s a great idea, so then one family isn’t spending a significant amount more. After Wal-Mart we headed back into town to watch my 7 year old cousin at her gymnastics practice and then at her softball game an hour later.
• Today was supposed to be my graduation events all day long. However, I decided that I really do not want to attend the ceremony. Even though I know obtaining my Associate’s degree is an accomplishment, I’d rather just go to the ceremony when I actually receive my teaching degree in 2 years. So instead of attending, James and I are going out to dinner and bowling with some friends.

Okay folks, that was the bulleted form of my crazy week. Next week, I don’t believe I have a thing planned…How nice that will be!
