When it comes to buying gifts for James, I like to choose unique things that he will enjoy using. He’s a bit hard to buy for, because he doesn’t really want for things like I do. That’s why I like sites that offer cool gifts like UncommonGoods.

One item we received for review was the Rhino Folding Stool. We do not have a lot of space in our kitchen, and our current stool was taking up a lot of room beside the trash can. With this folding stool, it can be stored out of the way in a cabinet or between the trash can and fridge. The green color matches our kitchen, so that is another plus.
The stool holds up to 300 pounds, and locks into place well so you aren’t feeling like it may give with you. It’s been great for when I need to get something out of the cabinets above the fridge – ones that I cannot reach without something to stand on. When folded, the stool features a handle that makes it easy to carry.
The second product we reviewed was the Recycled Rubber Guitar Strap. One of my husband’s favorite past times is playing the guitar. He was immediately interested in this new strap when he saw it on the UncommonGoods website.
I personally like the fact that it is made of recycled materials…bicycle tire inner tubes, to be exact. I like to be eco-friendly when I can, so using products that are made from items that usually go to the landfill is always a perk for me.
James likes the strap much better than the one that was included with his guitar. He says it fits comfortably over his shoulder and it’s adjustable so he can get the perfect length. The rubber is also very easy to clean, just needing a damp cloth.
